LSA 50 Class Day 1 (2/4/26) - The Blueprint: Mapping an Equitable Future for All
Wednesday, February 4, 2026
Description
San Antonio’s story is one of resilience, culture, and deep community roots—but also of inequities shaped by decades-old policies. This immersive class day pulls back the curtain on historical redlining and the socioeconomic divisions that still define our city, with a particular focus on the long-marginalized 78207 zip code. Participants will explore the realities of generational poverty, gentrification, property-tax disparities, access to health determinants, and the challenges facing our aging neighbors. Through powerful conversations, neighborhood immersion, and insights from frontline organizations like Catholic Charities and Estar SA, this day asks: What would it take to build a San Antonio where every resident truly has a fair shot?
